The LEGO Star Wars games turned the saga into brick-built, family-friendly comedy, and in doing so helped define an entire genre of licensed LEGO adventures. Starting with The Video Game in 2005, they retell the films through cooperative puzzle-platforming, gentle combat, and a constant stream of slapstick gags that affectionately poke fun at the source material.
The series grew alongside the franchise: The Complete Saga bundled the prequel and original trilogies, later entries covered The Clone Wars and The Force Awakens, and 2022's The Skywalker Saga reworked the formula into a larger, more open structure covering all nine main films. The blend of easy drop-in co-op and a galaxy of unlockable characters is the constant draw.
A games-only branch of Star Wars, and one of its most approachable.
