These are the video games built on Tom and Jerry, the cat-and-mouse cartoon whose whole premise is the chase. The older entries translate that rivalry into platforming: in House Trap you play Jerry setting traps and watching Tom spring them, while the 1992 game sends the mouse dashing up through a house to rescue a kidnapped nephew. Decades later the duo turn up as guest brawlers in the platform fighter MultiVersus.
It is a games-only collection, and a modest one. Without dialogue or plot to lean on, these games live or die on how well they capture the cartoon's slapstick timing, which makes them more a curiosity than a destination.
