Telltale game series

This is Telltale's The Walking Dead, the episodic adventure series that proved a story-first game could land an emotional gut-punch. Set in the same zombie-apocalypse world as Robert Kirkman's comics but following its own characters, the first season built itself around the bond between a man named Lee and a young girl, Clementine, and made its real mechanic the choices you are forced to make under pressure. Decisions carry forward, and the game remembers them.

Later seasons hand the lead to a growing Clementine, with A New Frontier, The Final Season, the side-story Michonne, the 400 Days anthology, and the Definitive collection gathered here. The throughline is consequence over combat: point-and-click adventuring reframed as a series of impossible moral calls, where the threat is usually the living, not the dead. A games-only series defined by its writing.
