The Revelations games are Resident Evil's experiments away from the numbered mainline, originally built for handhelds before moving to consoles. The first Revelations (2013) returned the series to claustrophobic survival horror aboard a derelict ship after the action-heavy Resident Evil 5 and 6, and was widely seen as a course correction. Revelations 2 (2015) shifted to an episodic structure, following Claire and Moira trapped in a prison colony, with co-op pairing a fighter and a vulnerable companion.
These are smaller-scale entries, but they matter for keeping the franchise's horror roots alive during its blockbuster-action years. A games-only sub-series, closer in spirit to the early Resident Evil than to its big-budget siblings.
The Revelations spin-offs franchise spans 3 games in the CrossBinge catalog.
