Story Mode is Telltale's narrative spin on Minecraft, trading the sandbox for a guided, choice-driven adventure. Across two seasons you play as Jesse, leading a small band of friends through the blocky Overworld, Nether and beyond while your decisions nudge the branching plot. It keeps Minecraft's look and creatures but swaps open-ended building for the studio's signature cinematic storytelling.
It is a games-only series, and a transitional one: an attempt to give a game with no built-in plot a cast and a through-story. The results are gentler and more kid-facing than Telltale's darker work, but they show how flexible the Minecraft brand could be.
