Its 1990 sequel, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, refined the formula on the MSX2 with smarter enemy awareness and a denser story, setting much of the groundwork the later Solid games would expand. Ghost Babel, a 2000 Game Boy Color entry, is a non-canon side story that carried the stealth template onto a handheld.
