Mario Party is the board-game-and-minigame series that turned Nintendo's mascots into a tool for friendship destruction. These three entries are the Nintendo 64 originals (1998 to 2000) that established the formula: up to four players move around a board collecting coins and stars, with each turn capped by a frantic minigame, and a healthy dose of luck and theft to keep things unfair on purpose.
The early trilogy leaned on inventive boards and a huge variety of minigames built for the N64 controller. The series has run for decades on the same premise because it works: simple, social, and reliably chaotic in a living room full of friends. A games-only spin-off, and one of gaming's definitive party franchises.
The Mario Party franchise spans 3 games in the CrossBinge catalog.
