The Interplay Classics

This is Fallout before it belonged to Bethesda, the original Interplay era that created the post-nuclear world in the first place. Fallout (1997) and Fallout 2 (1998) were isometric, turn-based role-playing games set in a retro-futuristic American wasteland, full of black humor, branching choices, and a 1950s vision of the atomic future gone wrong. Fallout Tactics shifted the focus toward squad combat in the same setting.

The era is represented here mostly by those games plus the Fallout 2 soundtrack, whose moody, ambient score helped fix the series' lonely tone. These early entries are where the wasteland's voice was found: bleak, funny, and unmistakably its own.

The The Interplay Classics franchise spans 3 games, 1 music in the CrossBinge catalog.
