She is Hanuki in both The Tatami Galaxy and Night Is Short, Walk on Girl, the same character in two connected works seven years apart, and Marnie's mother in the animated feature When Marnie Was There.

Where to start with Yuhko Kaida

SPY x FAMILY is the cleanest introduction. Sylvia Sherwood is exactly the sort of part she gets, a controlled adult in a cast of maniacs, and the show is easy to recommend to anyone at all.

For the performance that made her name with English-speaking audiences, go to The Promised Neverland, where Isabella has to be warm and wrong at the same time and Kaida manages it mostly through pacing. Read nothing about it beforehand.

Then spread out. Chainsaw Man is the strangest thing she does with her voice, BLUE LOCK is the surprise, since she plays a teenage boy and you will not clock it. The Apothecary Diaries and The Ancient Magus' Bride are the calm-authority mode done properly, Gintama is the long-haul comedy role, and When Marnie Was There is the prettiest film in the pool.
