Yoshino Aoyama is an actor, born 1996.
Yoshino Aoyama was born in Kumamoto in 1996 and works as a voice actress and singer with 81 Produce. Her first significant credit is also her strangest coincidence: Nanase Yoshino in Wake Up, Girls!, an idol series she joined in 2014 and carried through two feature spin-offs, playing a character whose name reads as her own reversed.
The performance most people arrive for is Hitori Gotoh in BOCCHI THE ROCK!, and it is genuinely difficult work. Bocchi is a guitarist whose social anxiety runs the whole show, so the part is built from strangled half-sentences, internal shrieking and the occasional moment of competence that arrives without warning. Aoyama has to keep the comedy of that from turning cruel, and she does, by playing the panic as real rather than as a bit. That casting has followed her: Hasegawa in Mieruko-chan, Evelyn in Shadows House, Dot in Pokémon Horizons and Neia Baraja in OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom all ask for some version of a girl holding herself together.
The rest of the credits show how wide the workload of a working anime voice actress actually is. Guri in Love Tyrant, Makoto in Shachibato! President, It's Time for Battle!, Linmei in Deca-Dence, Ikami in Wonder Egg Priority, Tsurumaru Tsuyoshi in the Umamusume shorts and a voice part in the film Suzume, alongside a steady run of 2025 and 2026 series. She has been busy for a decade and the recent work is the busiest of it.

Where to start with Yoshino Aoyama
BOCCHI THE ROCK! is the one to watch first, and not only because it is the best show here. It is the clearest possible demonstration of what she does, a comic performance that never treats its own character as the joke, and the music episodes give her the other half of her job.
For the origin, Wake Up, Girls! shows a very young performer in an idol series that asks its cast to sing and act at once. From there, spread out: Shadows House is the most controlled thing on her list, Mieruko-chan is horror-comedy where the timing has to be exact, and Wonder Egg Priority is the most visually ambitious series she has appeared in. Pokémon Horizons is the mainstream entry point for anyone who wants a long-running show, and OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom gives her the biggest dramatic swing of the film work.
