The Jimi Hendrix Experience is a musician.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience were a rock trio formed in London in 1966, pairing the American guitarist Jimi Hendrix with the English musicians Noel Redding on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums. Chas Chandler of the Animals brought Hendrix to Britain and assembled the group around him, and it took roughly two years to change what an electric guitar was understood to be capable of. They made three studio albums before splitting in 1969. Hendrix died the following year at twenty-seven.

Are You Experienced is the debut and one of the most consequential first albums anyone has made. Axis: Bold as Love is the most melodic and the most underrated of the three. Electric Ladyland is the double album where the studio itself becomes the instrument, and it is the one to end on.
