Shuta Morishima is an actor, born 1983.
Most of the credits on this page are small. Male Student B. An unnamed classmate. One line at the edge of a school scene. That is the working reality of a jobbing Japanese voice actor, and it is worth seeing plainly before the notable roles get listed.
Born in Niigata in 1983 and affiliated with the Hibiki agency, Morishima built his career on the franchise and trading-card anime that keep studios solvent. Shin Nitta in Cardfight!! Vanguard is the anchor, and a decade later he came back to the rebooted Vanguard as Masanori Iseki, which is rarer than it sounds: a performer who outlasts the show that hired him. Bat in DD Fist of the North Star, Pearce Valentine Shotani in Try Knights, Ushiwaka in Bikkurimen and Sotaro Shinozaki in Tasuketsu are the other named leads.
He is a musician as well, credited as a keyboardist and attached to the Argonavis project, which is less of a sideline than it looks. The anime industry now expects voice actors to front bands and perform live as their characters, and the ones who can actually play get first call on those roles.

Where to start with Shuta Morishima
Cardfight!! Vanguard is the obvious entry and the honest one. Shin Nitta is the role he has held longest, and the show is a card-game advertisement with a surprisingly durable cast built around it.
If that is not your genre, ID: INVADED is the better piece of television by a distance, a detective story with a genuinely strange premise, with Morishima in the supporting ranks. Helck and Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina are the prettiest things here, and the latter is far bleaker than its art style advertises. Battery is the quiet outlier, a baseball drama with no fantasy machinery at all. Ao Oni The Animation survives mainly as a curiosity, a horror-game adaptation whose animation is an acquired taste. Treat the rest as texture: this is a career of ensemble work, and the pleasure is noticing the same voice three shows later.
