Shaun Robinson is an actor, born 1962.
When a studio comedy needs a newscaster, it hires a newscaster. Shaun Robinson is the anchor in Bruce Almighty, the anchor in Dr. Dolittle 2, and the Nevada anchorwoman in America's Sweethearts, which together make up a small and perfectly honest genre of screen work: bring the credibility you earned somewhere else, say the lines that make the fiction feel reported, leave.
The real career is elsewhere. Detroit-born, she hosted Access Hollywood from 1999 to 2015, sixteen years on the American entertainment-news beat, and since 2016 she has fronted 90 Day Fiance and its spin-offs, a franchise with a far stranger cultural footprint than anything she covered in the first job. She is also credited as host on My Big Fat Fabulous Life. Her accolades include an Emmy for live coverage of A Grand Night in Harlem for the Black Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame.
She belongs to a category that film and television databases handle badly: people whose principal work is live, unscripted and enormous, and whose filmography therefore reads as a list of cameos. Read this page the other way round. The two-line film parts are the sideline. The hosting is the work, and the ability to hold a live hour without a script is the skill nobody puts in a credits list.

Where to start with Shaun Robinson
Access Hollywood is the body of work, and the fairest place to start: sixteen years of daily live entertainment television is the real skill on display, and a clip or two makes the case faster than any of the films.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life is the reality-television version of the same skill, and shows her doing the interviewing rather than the reporting.
For the cameos, Bruce Almighty is the most watched and the best joke, and America's Sweethearts uses the same trick inside a film about celebrity journalism, which is at least self-aware about it.
The Proud Family is the animated curiosity, and Dirt the most interesting scripted use of her, a series about the tabloid industry casting a real entertainment reporter as herself.
