Seiichiro Yamashita
Seiichiro Yamashita is an actor, born 1992.
Few credit lists show the shape of an anime career as plainly as this one. Yamashita is a voice actor from Fukuyama, Hiroshima, affiliated with Office Osawa, and the early rows are almost comically anonymous: Guard B, Customer, Gatekeeper A, Cameraman, Best Friend A, Spirit World Warrior. Dozens of hours in a booth delivering one line so that a scene sounds populated.
Running alongside those, from 2016, are the parts that made his name. Kakeru Naruse in Orange, a lead built around regret and hesitation, and Buntaro Hojo in Girls Beyond the Wasteland. He has also played Takahiro Mizuno in Walkure Romanze and Rekka Yukimura in Battle Spirits: Burning Soul, neither of which is among the credits listed here.
The turn came with Cid Kagenou in The Eminence in Shadow, a comedy that depends on the gap between how grandly its protagonist speaks and how little he understands, which is a performance problem before it is a writing one. Since then the leads have kept coming: Raiden Shuga in 86 EIGHTY-SIX, Toru Ishikawa in Horimiya, Soichiro Tachibana in Aoashi, Orcelott in Shangri-La Frontier, Ace Trappola in Disney Twisted-Wonderland, Xavier Olivette in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. Around seventy credits, spread across romance, sports, isekai and mecha, in a little over a decade.

Where to start with Seiichiro Yamashita
Nothing here beats Orange as a first watch: a high-school drama in which letters arrive from ten years in the future, and Yamashita plays the classmate everyone is trying to reach. It asks him for hesitation and shame rather than volume, which is the hardest register in anime voice work.
For the opposite mode, The Eminence in Shadow is the role that made him a headline name, a comedy carried almost entirely by how seriously he plays a man performing seriousness.
After that: 86 EIGHTY-SIX is the war drama and the best-looking of them, Horimiya the warm romantic comedy, Aoashi the football series with genuine tactical brains, and Mob Psycho 100 the one you should watch regardless of who is in it. Shangri-La Frontier and Insomniacs After School show the recent range.
