Sarah Buxton is an actor, born 1965.
Sarah Buxton started in the eighties as the pretty girl in other people's stories: Sharon in The Sure Thing, Markie in Less Than Zero, an early part in Lovelines, then a long stretch of episodic television including Mr. Belvedere, Rags to Riches, Otherworld and Freddy's Nightmares. Tess in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and Gail in Nightmare Beach come from the same run.
Daytime gave her a career rather than a filmography. She played Annie Douglas Richards on Sunset Beach from 1997 to 1999, a lead role that asked her to carry scenes every day, and later played Morgan DeWitt on The Bold and the Beautiful. Soap work gets dismissed by people who have never tried to hit an emotional beat on the first take with pages of fresh script every morning. It is the best training a jobbing actor can get, and it shows in what she did afterwards.
Since then she has taken sharp small parts in features: Little Children, Helen in Spread, the Hokey Pokey Woman in Bedtime Stories, an agent in Today You Die, and Heather Bronson in the television mystery McBride: It's Murder, Madam.

Where to start with Sarah Buxton
The right starting point depends on what you want from her. For the performance with the most screen time it is Sunset Beach, two years of daily television and the only place here where she carries the show.
For the eighties films, The Sure Thing holds up best, a road comedy with more warmth than its era usually allowed, and Less Than Zero is the bleak counterweight. Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead is the fun one. Her later character work has less screen time and better writing: Little Children is the strongest film she appears in, Spread gives her Helen, and Bedtime Stories is the family comedy. Horror completists should note Freddy's Nightmares.
