Where to start with Ryoko Maekawa
Tsukigakirei first: a quiet middle-school romance in which Ayane is the friend standing outside it, and a series that runs on restraint rather than incident, so the emotional work has nowhere to hide.
Asobi Asobase - workshop of fun - is the opposite argument and just as strong, a comedy that requires screaming, with Chisato among the reasons it is funny. The Eminence in Shadow is the biggest recent title, and Magic of Stella is the early lead that got her noticed.
