Robbie Daymond
Robbie Daymond is an actor, born 1982.
Daymond works almost entirely in recorded performance: video games, animation, anime dubs and audiobooks. The list is enormous and easiest to describe by its shape. He has voiced Spider-Man across Marvel animation, including the 2017 series Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Avengers; he is Tuxedo Mask in Viz Media's Sailor Moon redub; and he has led or co-led a long run of games including Persona 5, Final Fantasy XV, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and the Trails series.
What separates him from a hundred competent voice actors is a specific ability to sound like a young man trying very hard to be liked and not quite managing it. Peter Parker is the obvious use of that. Goro Akechi in Persona 5 is the smarter one, a performance built on charm that is a millimetre too polished. And Infinity Train handed him Jesse in its second season, a tricky part about a teenager whose eagerness to please is the actual problem.
The other half of the career is tabletop. He plays Dorian Storm on Critical Role, which has fed onward into animation, with both The Legend of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein using him, along with Candela Obscura and the spin-off shows. Elsewhere he takes the jobs a working voice actor takes and takes them seriously: Vergil in Devil May Cry, Bug in the Rugrats revival, SwaySway in Breadwinners, parts in Creature Commandos and Legion of Super-Heroes.

Where to start with Robbie Daymond
Marvel's Spider-Man is the calling card. A full run of Peter Parker is a lot of tape, and it shows you exactly what he does with a lead: chatter that never becomes noise, and a voice that can drop into sincerity without slowing down.
Infinity Train is the one to watch if you want the acting rather than the franchise, and its second season is the best writing he has been handed. Devil May Cry is the showcase for his colder register, since Vergil is built entirely out of restraint. For the tabletop side, Critical Role is the enormous commitment and The Legend of Vox Machina or The Mighty Nein the animated shortcut. Creature Commandos and Legion of Super-Heroes are quick sightings, and Breadwinners is the loud early work if you want to hear how far he has come.
