Ramón Rodríguez is an actor, born 1979.
It took about seventeen years to reach the top of a call sheet. Ramon Rodriguez, born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, has been working since 2006, and the early credits are all second-tier positions in other people's stories: Eduardo in Bella, Damien Ortiz in Day Break, Angel Tezo in Pride and Glory, and a run on The Wire from 2006 to 2008 that this catalog does not carry.
2009 put him in two studio pictures at once, Leo Spitz in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and an MTA worker in The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. Then Battle: Los Angeles, John Bosley in the 2011 Charlie's Angels reboot, Ryan Lopez in Gang Related, Joe Peck in Need for Speed, Bakuto in both Iron Fist and The Defenders, Matt Morales in Megan Leavey. Constant employment, never the title.
Will Trent changed that in 2023. He plays the title character of the ABC series, and it is the first project built around him rather than around somebody else's protagonist. He suits it, because his default register is watchful rather than showy, which is a liability in an action ensemble and an asset in a detective lead.
Other recent work includes George in The One and Only Ivan, John in Lullaby, and Agent Manny Ruiz in G20. On television he also played Benjamin Cruz in The Affair, another title the catalog does not carry.

Where to start with Ramón Rodríguez
Will Trent is the reason you are on this page and the right place to start, since it is the only project here designed around his quiet, watchful quality rather than in spite of it.
Working backwards, Pride and Glory gives him the sharpest of the early supporting parts and The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 the tensest, a small role in a very tightly wound film.
The Marvel work is a package deal: Marvel's Iron Fist sets Bakuto up and Marvel's The Defenders pays him off, and the second is much better than the first. Megan Leavey is the most affecting thing on the list.
For the blockbusters, Battle: Los Angeles holds up better than expected, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen does not, and G20 is the current popcorn entry.
