Ralph Garman

Ralph Garman is a radio and podcast professional whose acting career grew out of the microphone rather than the other way round. Born in Philadelphia in 1964, he spent years as the entertainment reporter and resident impressionist on the Kevin and Bean morning show at KROQ in Los Angeles, and he is on the record for The Joe Schmo Show both as its host and as a character called Jake Montrose. He now co-hosts Hollywood Babble-On with Kevin Smith and runs the daily Ralph Report on Patreon.

The filmography clusters around two comedy houses. For Kevin Smith he is Caleb in Red State, the detective in Tusk, Old Man Arcane in Yoga Hosers, plus parts in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Clerks III and The 4:30 Movie, and he appears in the documentary Clerk. On the other side sit the broad studio comedies: John's dad in Ted, a stormtrooper in Ted 2, Dan in A Million Ways to Die in the West, and voice work on Family Guy going back to 1999 along with its feature-length specials.

The impressionist training explains the rest of the resume. He does announcers, wizards and authority figures across The Lego Batman Movie, two LEGO DC features, Animaniacs, Marvel's Agent Carter and Digimon: The Movie, and he is Fisto in both Masters of the Universe: Revelation and Revolution.

Then there is the creature-feature strand, Sharktopus, Lavalantula and Samurai Cop 2, played with the enthusiasm those films require and rarely get.
