Paul Wight
Paul Wight is an actor, born 1972.
Two working names, one job. Wight was the Giant in World Championship Wrestling from 1995 to 1999, the Big Show in the WWF and then WWE from 1999 to 2021, and since signing with All Elite Wrestling he has worked under the name he was born with. Almost every screen credit here sits inside one of those eras, which is the honest way to read the filmography: wrestling made him famous and Hollywood borrowed the silhouette.
He is better at comedy than the casting suggests. Captain Insano in The Waterboy is barely a role and it has outlasted most of his straight ones. MacGruber, Knucklehead and the Netflix sitcom The Big Show Show all run on the same idea, an enormous man who is gentle, easily embarrassed and completely aware of how ridiculous the size is. In Fighting with My Family he plays himself, inside a film about the business that built him.
The wrestling record dominates the rest. The pay-per-view titles listed here run from WrestleMania 2000 to the 2015 Royal Rumble, and they are the actual body of work. The documentary material around them, Undertaker: The Last Ride and Ruthless Aggression, uses him as a witness to other people's careers, a job he has grown into comfortably.

Where to start with Paul Wight
Most people met him as Captain Insano in The Waterboy, which holds up as a cameo. The better introduction to what he can do is Knucklehead, a small comedy that hands him the lead and asks him to be sweet rather than scary. The Big Show Show runs the same trick across a whole sitcom and works whenever the writing lets the kids push him around.
For the wrestling, Fighting with My Family is the most watchable thing on this list even if you have never seen a match, and Undertaker: The Last Ride takes the physical cost seriously. If you want the in-ring version, WWE WrestleMania XX and WWE Royal Rumble 2009 catch him in his two best modes, immovable object and surprise athlete. MacGruber is a joke about his size and nothing more.
