Where to start with Nathaniel Arcand
Everything grows out of North of 60, which is the historical answer and also the hardest of these to actually find.
The practical entry point is Heartland, where Scott Cardinal accumulates over many years into something few guest-star careers ever get: a character an audience actually knows. Then FBI: Most Wanted for the network-procedural version, which is a different discipline altogether, all economy and standing still while the plot happens around you.
Into the West is the ambitious historical miniseries in the middle of the filmography. Black Summer is the best of the genre work.
Save Sinners and Train Dreams for last. Both are 2025 films with real directors behind them, and both are the strongest evidence of what he can do with material that is not written down to him.
