Michael Chabon
Michael Chabon is a writer, born 1963.
Michael Chabon sold his MFA thesis as a first novel while he was still in the programme, which is the kind of start that usually ruins a writer. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay won the Pulitzer and made the argument that comics deserve a serious novel. He then wrote genre fiction on purpose, taking a Hugo and a Nebula for The Yiddish Policemen's Union, and later ran Star Trek: Picard, which is a strange but consistent path.

Where to start with Michael Chabon
The catalogue is missing Kavalier and Clay, which is the one to look for elsewhere. Moonglow is here and is the late family novel, told as a dying grandfather's confession, and it is his best-written book. Gentlemen of the road is the short adventure serial and pure pleasure. Summerland is the children's fantasy, The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist. Volume 1 is the comic spin-off, and Star Trek: Picard is the television.
