Michael C. Maronna
Michael C. Maronna is an actor, born 1977.
Two of the six credits we hold for him are Home Alone films, and in both he plays Jeff McCallister, one of the siblings in the enormous family that manages to leave Kevin behind. It is a small part in a very large film, which describes nearly all of his work with one exception.
The exception is The Adventures of Pete & Pete, where he played Big Pete Wrigley from 1993. The show was the deadpan, faintly surreal corner of mid-1990s Nickelodeon, closer to a suburban tall tale than a sitcom, and it has aged better than almost anything else the channel made. Maronna's job in it was to be the reasonable brother, the straight line everything stranger got measured against, and that job only looks easy.
The rest is scattered: comic bit parts in Slackers and 40 Days and 40 Nights, both 2002, then a long gap. In 2024 he turns up in a small role as a neighbour in I Saw the TV Glow, a horror film about two teenagers consumed by a television show from the 1990s. Whether or not the casting was a joke, it works as one.

Where to start with Michael C. Maronna
The Adventures of Pete & Pete is the reason to be here. Watch it for the writing and the tone rather than for any single performance: Maronna is the anchor, the ordinary older brother that the show's inventions get measured against, and the part is harder than it looks.
Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York are the credits everyone has actually seen, though Jeff is a face in a crowded house rather than a role. Slackers and 40 Days and 40 Nights are early-2000s studio comedies, and neither needs your evening.
The one genuinely interesting later credit is I Saw the TV Glow, where he appears in a small role in a film built entirely out of the ache of 1990s children's television. Watch that one for the film, not for him.
