Louis Partridge
Louis Partridge is an actor, born 2003.
Two blink-and-you-miss-him parts in British family films started it: a miner in Pan and a G-Man in Paddington 2. He was a child actor with an agent and a couple of lines, which usually leads nowhere. Then came Piero de' Medici in the historical series Medici, and in 2020 the Netflix mystery Enola Holmes, where Lord Tewkesbury put him opposite the title character in a film with a very large audience.
The interesting decision is what he did with that. Rather than run the franchise for as long as it would carry him, he took Sid Vicious in the FX miniseries Pistol in 2022, a part with no charm available in it at all, then Jonathan Brigstocke in Alfonso Cuarón's Disclaimer in 2024, and Edward Guinness in the historical drama House of Guinness in 2025. That is three consecutive attempts to be something other than the boy in the good coat.
He has kept the franchise going in parallel, with Enola Holmes 2 in 2022 and a third film due in 2026, and turned up in the spy comedy Argylle. The record is unusual in that the crowd-pleasing work and the difficult work are running at the same time rather than in sequence.
He is still in his early twenties, and the interesting question is which of the two lines he lets take over.

Where to start with Louis Partridge
Watch Pistol before the family films, even though it is the harder sit. Playing Sid Vicious means playing someone with no self-awareness and no charm, and it is the clearest evidence available that he is an actor rather than a very photogenic young man in period costume.
Then Enola Holmes, which is the reason most people know the name. It is a well-made piece of studio entertainment and he is genuinely charming in it, which is a skill, not an accident. Enola Holmes 2 is more of the same with a better plot.
The two to watch after that are Disclaimer, where he is asked to be quietly unsettling inside a very controlled piece of television, and House of Guinness, the period series that gives him the most adult material yet. Medici: Masters of Florence and Paddington 2 are archaeology, interesting only as evidence of where he came from.
