Lorraine Warren
Lorraine Warren is an actor, born 1927.
Lorraine Warren, born in 1927, made her name as one half of a husband-and-wife pair of American paranormal investigators. Ed Warren described himself as a self-taught demonologist, author and lecturer; Lorraine professed to be clairvoyant and a light trance medium. Together they attached themselves to the best-known alleged hauntings of the postwar United States, and built decades of books and lecture tours out of the casework.
Her actual screen record is small, and most of it consists of other people playing her. She appears as herself on the documentary series A Haunting. She made an uncredited cameo, seated in the audience, in The Conjuring, the 2013 film assembled out of the Warrens' files. After her death in 2019, archive footage has continued to appear, in The Devil on Trial and in The Conjuring: Last Rites.
Whether the cases were ever what the Warrens said they were is a question the films built on them decline to ask, and this page is not the place to settle it either.

Where to start with Lorraine Warren
If you want Warren herself rather than a version of her, the honest starting point is A Haunting. She appears as a talking head, and the series format leaves her claims sitting in the open where a viewer can weigh them.
The Conjuring is the reason anyone arrives on this page. It is a genuinely well-made haunted-house film and a heavily fictionalised one, and her own uncredited appearance in it is a good piece of trivia to have in hand while watching.
The Devil on Trial is the useful corrective, a documentary about the case that put the Warrens' claims in front of a courtroom, and it is far more interested in scepticism than the horror films are. The Conjuring: Last Rites uses archive footage of her.
