Krista Kosonen is an actor, born 1983.
Finnish audiences met her first as a comic: a rotating set of characters on the sketch show Putous, which is not where a career like this usually starts. Wikipedia credits her with two Jussi Awards for Best Actress and a Golden Goblet at Shanghai for The Midwife (2015), a film our catalog does not carry.
What the credits show is a performer running two careers in parallel. The Finnish one goes from Jade Warrior (2006) through the historical drama Purge (2012) to Dogs Don't Wear Pants (2019) and Helene (2020), where she plays Helena Westermarck. The international one is stranger and usually smaller: an unnamed walk-on billed as Doxie #2 in Blade Runner 2049, Warden Greer in Foundation, Tina Lund in The Swarm.
The role that travelled is Alfhildr in Beforeigners, the HBO series that finally handed her a lead an audience outside the Nordics could find. Her register is watchfulness rather than display, which is probably why the English-language jobs keep casting her as people with rank, and why the Finnish ones are content to hold on her face and wait.
One coincidence is worth noticing. Her earliest feature here, Jade Warrior, has her playing a character named Ronja. Eighteen years later she turns up in Ronja the Robber's Daughter, this time as Lovis. Four titles in our records are dated 2026, among them Backrooms and Land of Sin, so nothing about this is winding down.

Where to start with Krista Kosonen
Start with Beforeigners. It is the largest role on this list and the one place here where she carries a series rather than decorating someone else's, and Alfhildr suits the flat, unimpressed delivery she does better than almost anyone working in Finland.
For the Finnish side, Dogs Don't Wear Pants is the one to chase down: uncomfortable, oddly tender, and the least like anything else here. Purge and Helene cover the period end, and Jade Warrior is the early curiosity.
Skip Blade Runner 2049 unless you enjoy freeze-framing, because the part is a walk-on. Foundation is the easiest to find on a subscription you already pay for, and The Swarm is the international ensemble thriller if you like a large cast and a bigger problem.
