Kensho Ono

Kensho Ono is a Japanese actor and singer, born in Fukuoka in 1989 and affiliated with Animo Produce, with more than a hundred credits behind him. He announced his marriage to the voice actress Kana Hanazawa in 2020.

His signature part is Tetsuya Kuroko, the title character of Kuroko's Basketball, and the casting logic there runs through most of the catalogue. He has a light, unforced voice that reads as harmless, which makes him extremely useful when a character is not. Giorno Giovanna in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Canute in Vinland Saga, Slaine Troyard in Aldnoah.Zero and Floch Forster in Attack on Titan are all young men whose politeness hardens into something colder, and Ono is the reason that change is audible rather than announced.

He is the Japanese dub voice of Harry Potter across the film series and of Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse films, neither of which appears under his name in this catalogue. He sings as well, and plays Muromachi Toji in the Prince of Tennis stage musical, which is the theatre half of the job.
