Kelly Gould worked as a child and then stopped, which is the most common career shape in the business and the one nobody makes documentaries about. Born in Los Angeles in 1999, she was not yet into double figures when she played Lucy on Lucky Louie, the deliberately ugly HBO sitcom shot in front of a studio audience on a set built to look like an apartment nobody had cleaned.
The steady job was Rita Rocks, the Lifetime comedy built around a mother starting a band in her garage, where Gould played Shannon Clemens across the run. Around it came the standard child-actor circuit: guest parts, a Disney Channel movie in Den Brother, an appearance on Jessie, and small roles in features including Blades of Glory and The Rebound.
Her filmography stops in her early teens. That is not a failure so much as the ordinary outcome, and what she left behind is a decent record of a jobbing kid actor in the last years before streaming rewired children's television entirely.

Where to start with Kelly Gould
Lucky Louie has a reason to exist beyond nostalgia: a harsh, cheap-looking studio sitcom about being broke, where putting a small child in the middle of the arguments is exactly what makes the meanness land. It is the strangest thing on her list and the best.
Rita Rocks holds most of her actual screen time, a low-stakes family comedy about a mother with a garage band, and it is pleasant and forgettable in equal measure. Den Brother and Jessie are the Disney Channel end of the trade, competent and weightless. The Rebound is the only feature here worth a look, mostly for Catherine Zeta-Jones.
