Enid Sinclair was built as a contrast. Put a loud, bright, relentlessly friendly roommate next to a deliberately affectless lead and the show has a battery. What was not guaranteed is that the part would be played with any interior life, and Emma Myers found one, which is why Wednesday made her famous in 2022 rather than merely visible.
Born in Orlando, Florida, in 2002, she had been working for years before that with nothing much to show for it: an uncredited bit as a girl on a bus in Letters to God back in 2010, Stephanie on The Baker and the Beauty in 2020, Marie in the television film Girl in the Basement, Angie Blackburn in Southern Gospel. Ordinary jobbing work, the kind that usually goes nowhere.
Since Wednesday the offers have arrived at speed. She played CC Walker in the body swap comedy Family Switch, took the lead as Pip Fitz-Amobi in the British mystery series A Good Girl's Guide to Murder in 2024, and played Natalie in A Minecraft Movie, which won her a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award. She was named in the 2026 class of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
The next stretch is already spoken for: a voice role in The Angry Birds Movie 3 and a return as Natalie in A Minecraft Movie Squared. That is a good position and a narrow one. The interesting question is what she does with the first part nobody has franchised.

Where to start with Emma Myers
Wednesday is where everyone starts and it deserves the traffic. Enid is the warmth the show runs on, and the performance is more calibrated than it first looks.
The better argument for her as an actor is A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. Carrying a mystery series means being the audience's proxy without being a blank, holding scenes with adults, and staying watchable across an entire investigation. She does all three.
A Minecraft Movie is the commercial peak and a completely different skill: play straight opposite chaos, sell a world made of blocks, keep a face on it. It is better than it needed to be.
For the earlier material, Girl in the Basement is a grim television film that she is noticeably too good for, and Family Switch is pleasant Christmas filler. Save Southern Gospel for people who want the whole record.
