Dominic Fike
Dominic Fike is an actor, born 1995.
The music came first and still sets the terms. He put songs on SoundCloud, got attention for them, released the EP Don't Forget About Me, Demos in 2018 and signed to Columbia Records. The single 3 Nights reached the top ten in several countries, he worked with Brockhampton and with Halsey, and the debut album What Could Possibly Go Wrong arrived in 2020 and charted inside the top fifty in the United States, Australia and elsewhere.
Acting came after that, and the list on this page is short. He plays Elliot on Euphoria, which is the credit he is known for, and it reads as smart casting rather than a stunt: the part needs someone who registers as an actual musician in a room full of actors playing at it, and who can hold a scene by doing very little in it. Euphoria is also the earliest acting credit listed here, which means he learned in public, on a show a great many people were watching.
The two films are the more interesting test. Earth Mama is a serious independent drama and his role in it is supporting; Little Death puts him in something much stranger. Neither is a star vehicle, which suggests he is taking parts rather than assembling a screen career, and on this evidence that is the right call.

Where to start with Dominic Fike
Start with Euphoria, since there is no real alternative and no reason to look for one. Elliot is the role that turned a musician into someone casting directors call, and the thing to watch is what he does with silence.
Earth Mama is the better film by a distance, quiet and unsentimental, and he does not try to make his part bigger than it is. Little Death is the odd one, a film built in pieces that will either work on you or not, and his section is worth the gamble. The New York Times Presents is documentary television and he appears in it as himself, a musician, which remains the honest framing for everything else here.
