Crystal Reed is an actor, born 1985.
Crystal Reed walked away from the role that made her and then kept being pulled back to it. Allison Argent on Teen Wolf ran from 2011 to 2014 and she left after the third season, which for a young actor on a hit MTV series was an unusual thing to do. She returned as a guest in the fifth season playing Allison's ancestor, Marie-Jeanne Valet, and then again in the reunion film Teen Wolf: The Movie in 2023.
Before all that the parts were small and quick: Denise in Skyline in 2010, a bit on The Hard Times of RJ Berger, Amy Johnson in Crazy, Stupid, Love. in 2011, Rebecca in Jewtopia. Teen Wolf arrived the same year as Crazy, Stupid, Love, so the apprenticeship was very short.
Since leaving, she has taken parts with more control written into them. Sofia Falcone on Gotham is a crime-family role with real leverage in it rather than a place at the edge of somebody else's story. Abby Arcane on Swamp Thing is a lead. Beth in Ghostland and Dorothy Mahler in Too Late are the horror and indie ends of the same instinct.
Twelve credits is a short filmography for the level of recognition she has, and that is the real story here: she has been selective, sometimes to the point of disappearing, and the work she picks tends to hand her authority rather than adoration.

Where to start with Crystal Reed
Nobody arrives at this page for anything other than Teen Wolf, so start there and watch the first three seasons, which is her actual run. Allison begins as the love interest and does not stay one, and Reed plays the change without ever announcing it.
Teen Wolf: The Movie closes the loop, though it will mean very little if you have not done the series.
The better argument for her as an actor is the work after. Gotham gives her Sofia Falcone, a part built on patience and misdirection, and it is the most fun she has ever looked on screen. Swamp Thing is the straight lead, played sincerely in a series that deserved longer.
For film, Ghostland is the one with teeth, an unpleasant and effective horror picture. Skyline and Crazy, Stupid, Love. are early and slight, useful mainly for seeing how little she was being asked to do before Teen Wolf.
