He rose to notice as a storyboard artist on the Cartoon Network series The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, which ran from 2008 to 2010 and has since acquired a reputation as the training room for the people who made the decade of animation after it. Then came the long Adventure Time run, 2010 to 2018, where he wrote, boarded, directed and occasionally voiced. After that he was supervising director on Long Live the Royals in 2015 and supervising producer on Summer Camp Island, which ran from 2018 to 2023.
