Charlotte Vega is an actor, born 1994.
Madrid first, then the English-language genre circuit. Charlotte Vega was born in Madrid in 1994 and came up through Spanish film and television, with an early bit part in [REC] Genesis, a role in Another Me, and a run in 2015 that included the third season of Velvet and the single season of the Spanish and British co-production The Refugees. The 2014 Spanish film The Misfits Club is among the work she is still best known for.
Since then she has become something fairly specific: a horror lead. The Lodgers gave her a gothic period piece to carry alone, all repression and rules and a decaying Irish house, and she is genuinely good in it, playing a young woman whose only rebellion has to happen internally. The 2021 Wrong Turn reboot is a much cruder film that reworks the series premise entirely, and it asks her to do the whole final-girl escalation from tourist to survivor across two hours. She holds it.
The rest of the work is more varied than that suggests. A supporting part in the thriller American Assassin, a period drama in The Bookshop, the wartime thriller Burial, the streaming thriller Who Is Erin Carter?, and continued Spanish work alongside the English-language jobs. She is a working genre lead in her early thirties with an unusually large amount of career still in front of her.

Where to start with Charlotte Vega
The Lodgers shows what she can do when a film actually asks for something. It is slow, gothic and very controlled, the sort of horror that depends entirely on whether you believe the lead, and she carries it.
Wrong Turn is the opposite proposition, loud and mean and much more widely seen, and it is the one to watch if you want to know why she keeps getting cast in this genre.
After that, Burial is the most interesting of the smaller films, a wartime thriller with a real idea in it, and The Bookshop is proof she can work outside horror entirely. Who Is Erin Carter? is efficient streaming thriller television.
For the early Spanish work, Velvet is the glossiest and [REC]³ Genesis the most fun, though her part in the latter is small enough to blink past.
