Brittany Snow

Brittany Snow's first steady job was a CBS soap. She played on Guiding Light from 1998 to 2001 as a child performer, won a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress and picked up two more nominations plus a Soap Opera Digest nod, then moved straight to NBC for American Dreams from 2002 to 2005, which brought another Young Artist nomination and three Teen Choice nominations. Very few actors get that much network drama before they turn twenty.

The film years that followed put her in the studio teen machine: The Pacifier in 2005, John Tucker Must Die in 2006, the Von Tussle daughter in the Hairspray musical in 2007, a Prom Night remake in 2008. Then Pitch Perfect arrived in 2012 and Chloe Beale ran through all three films to 2017, which is the credit most people know her by.

The more interesting half of her career happens in smaller rooms. Would You Rather is a genuinely mean little horror picture, Bushwick and Hangman are lean genre work, and Someone Great gave her a comic register the a cappella films never asked for. She has also moved behind the camera, directing the feature Parachute. Recent work skews to television again: Sophie O'Neill in The Hunting Wives, Mandy Matney in the Murdaugh dramatization, and Nina Jarvis in The Beast in Me, all in 2025.
