Anne-Marie is an actor, born 1991.
Anne-Marie Rose Nicholson is a pop singer first, and this page is the film and television residue of that. The songs are the actual work: Alarm in 2016, Ciao Adios in 2017, then Friends and 2002 in 2018, Rewrite The Stars the same year, Don't Play and Kiss My (Uh-Oh) in 2021, then Psycho, Baby Don't Hurt Me and Unhealthy. Before any of them she sang the hook on Clean Bandit's Rockabye, which went to number one in twenty-seven territories including the UK.
Three albums followed. Speak Your Mind reached number three on the UK chart in 2018; Therapy in 2021 and Unhealthy in 2023 both got to number two. She writes and co-writes, and the persona holds steady across all of it: blunt, conversational, far more interested in being funny about heartbreak than tragic about it.
The screen credits are the by-product of that. She has been a coach on The Voice UK, a panellist on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a contestant on the celebrity Bake Off, a performer at the MTV Europe Music Awards and Radio 1's Big Weekend, and an uncredited voice in Pixar's Turning Red. It is the standard British pop-star television circuit, and she is unusually good on it, largely because she never looks like she is managing her image while the camera is running.

Where to start with Anne-Marie
Ignore the television for a moment and put on Speak Your Mind. It is the 2018 debut, it went to number three in the UK, and it is where the voice and the writing arrive at the same time.
For television, The Voice UK is the long stint and the best evidence of what she is like unscripted: she coaches like somebody who clearly remembers being the person auditioning. Never Mind the Buzzcocks and The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer are lighter panel-show appearances, and both are more entertaining than they had any need to be.
The live sets are the other half. Radio 1's Big Weekend and MTV Europe Music Awards have both carried her performances. Turning Red is the outlier, an uncredited voice in a Pixar film about a girl and a boy band, and a neat piece of casting given where her audience lives.
