Annalisa Cochrane

Annalisa Cochrane is an actor, born 1996.

Two jobs in 2018 set the shape of Annalisa Cochrane's career. She had started in television films a few years earlier, out of Gig Harbor, Washington, and then landed Yasmine in Cobra Kai, a recurring part she came back to on and off across the show's whole run to 2025.

Yasmine is a high-school antagonist of a very particular kind, the confident popular girl written mainly to make life worse for somebody else, and the reason Cochrane kept getting called back is that she plays it without asking to be liked. The same year she turned up in the Heathers television series, which is the identical casting instinct applied harder. That could comfortably have become the whole career.

One of Us Is Lying is what stopped it. As Addy Prentiss she got the part that runs the other way: a character introduced through her boyfriend and her social ranking, then written to work out who she is without either of them. It is a mystery-box teen thriller and not everything in it lands, but her thread stays interesting long after the plotting has taken over. She has worked steadily since, in the anthology comedy Weird City, the film Pure, and the 2025 series I Love LA.

Where to start with Annalisa Cochrane

Skip ahead to One of Us Is Lying, which will surprise anyone who knows her only from the karate show. Addy is the best-written role she has had and the clearest look at what she does with a character who wears confidence as a costume.

Cobra Kai next, and be patient with it: Yasmine arrives in bursts across the seasons rather than as a fixture, and the pleasure is watching a joke of a character slowly get treated as a person. Heathers is the strange sibling of the two, a series delayed and re-edited before it ever aired. Weird City is a sci-fi curiosity worth one episode, Pure is a small film, and I Love LA is simply the newest thing with her in it.
