Alexander Koch
Alexander Koch is an actor, born 1988.
Under the Dome handed Koch his first substantial job and a difficult one. As Junior Rennie, adapted from Stephen King's novel, he had to play a young man whose charm is a thin layer over something much worse, and hold that near its limit for the whole run of a network drama that got stranger by the season. It is not a subtle part, and he could not make it one, but he made it watchable, which was the actual assignment.
The interesting work has been in independent film. Always Shine (2016) and Black Bear (2020) both use him for the same quality, a good-looking man whose likeability is precisely the problem, and Black Bear uses it especially well: the film is about performance and manipulation, and he plays the participant least aware of which one he is doing. Sightless (2020) and the romantic comedy Happiness for Beginners (2023) round out the features.
On television he turned up as Pete Daily, Ella Lopez's new love interest, in the fifth season of Lucifer, and took supporting parts in Sorry for Your Loss and The Code. His filmography is short for this much time in the industry, and the two small psychological dramas are the ones that suggest what a better-cast career might have looked like.

Where to start with Alexander Koch
Go to Black Bear first and ignore the television for now. It is a two-part film about a filmmaker, a couple and a weekend at a lake house, and Koch gives the least protected of the three central performances, which is exactly what the part needs.
Always Shine is the companion piece, smaller and colder, and worth it if the first one lands. After that, Under the Dome is the famous credit and a great deal of television for one performance, so sample rather than commit. Lucifer is the light option, a late-season romantic subplot played with charm, and Sightless is the thriller for a night when you want something contained and one-location.
