Abby Jimenez is an author.
Abigail Jimenez is an American romance novelist who came to writing from baking. She owns the Nadia Cakes bake shops in California and Minnesota and won Cupcake Wars on the Food Network in 2013, a detail that tends to get mentioned before her books and probably should not. She has written three connected series: The Friend Zone books from 2019 to 2021, Part of Your World from 2022 to 2024, and Say You'll Remember Me from 2025 onward. The novels are sold as comedy and are genuinely funny, but each is built around something painful, usually medical, and she does not flinch from it.

Where to start with Abby Jimenez
The Friend Zone is where to start, because everything she does later is already in it: comedy up front, a rough medical subplot underneath. Part of Your World is the better constructed book and the one readers press on friends. Just for the Summer is the lightest. Life's Too Short is the one that will get you, if any of them do.
