A.D. Miles is an actor, born 1971.
A.D. Miles spent the 2000s inside the American comedy scene that produced Wet Hot American Summer, and the 2010s writing for late night. He was head writer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon from 2014 to 2017 and helped develop the show, and on camera he is the step-dad Gary in Fallon's Ew! sketches and Mr. Fletcher in the summer-camp songs with Justin Timberlake.
The acting credits map that world exactly. He played a different Gary in Wet Hot American Summer in 2001 and returned for both Netflix continuations, First Day of Camp and Ten Years Later. Around them: The Ten, The Baxter, Role Models, Childrens Hospital, Human Giant, narration on TV Funhouse, and a turn as himself in Between Two Ferns: The Movie. His performance style is small and slightly damp, a man who has clearly lost an argument shortly before the scene began.

Wet Hot American Summer is where to begin, and not only for him: the film is the origin document for a whole comedy generation, and Miles is one of the ensemble players doing the least and getting the most.
Then the two Netflix follow-ups in release order, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, which are stranger and more committed than a revival has any right to be. The Ten and The Baxter fill in the same crowd's other work. Role Models is the mainstream one, where he plays Martin and is very funny in short bursts. If you want the non-comic register, The Believer is the surprise on this list.
